Climate Change in the Medieval Period

Climate change is the increase of warming in global temperatures which affects the climate.

The DRAGEN Lab team created two videos for the Herstmonceux Castle highlighting the periods of the Medieval Climate Optimum and the Little Ice Age.

Two videos were created for public exhibits in Sussex. These educational videos explore the Medieval Climate Optimum and the Little Ice Age from a global perspective.

The videos were created by two of our graduate students Erin Kurian and Jacqueline Gergal.

This video by Erin Kurian is an overview of climate change in the medieval period, from the medieval climate optimum and the little ice age. It provides steps you can take to help reduce climate change.

This video by Jacqueline Gergal is an overview of the Medieval Climate Optimum and the Little Ice Age from the perspective of East Sussex.
