Conservation and 3D Scanning of Artifacts at Herstmonceux Castle

In the course of this project, our team is performing condition assessments, photo documentation, and cataloging to devise appropriate storage and display conditions for long term care of objects in the Herstmonceux Visitor Centre. We are also 3D scanning, modelling, and printing the objects in the hopes to make these artifacts more accessible through emerging digital technologies and in the creation of a digital archive. With this archive, we hope to preserve the historical, distinct and treasured history of the castle and the surrounding area.
